Ombre Star Blanket - a free crochet pattern for a baby blanket

Updated: Mar 20

Delve into your yarn stash and find 4 x 100g balls of double knitting (light worsted weight) yarn or use up oddments to make a multi-coloured blanket.

My Ombre Star blanket has been thoroughly tested by lots of crocheters and they all loved it. The stitches are repetitive and calming so it's the perfect project to help you switch off and relax, as you sit and crochet.

Loving this pattern, so well written and easy to follow. Thank you! – KnittingKath on Ravelry

It's really hard to believe that it's been almost 10 years since I designed this gorgeous blanket for Inside Crochet magazine. I was thrilled that it was such a popular pattern and has been enjoyed by crocheters far and wide as it was also published in other languages too.

I nspired by the popular ripple pattern, this blanket is perfect for a contemporary nursery, embellished with cute little pom-poms. It's also quick to make and perfect for stash busting which is my favourite kind of crochet.
